Children seem to change so quickly, and before you know it, another school year has passed. Back to School Mini Sessions provide a simple and timeless way to document these milestones and create photographs you'll treasure for years to come.

About the Session

Our Back to School Mini Sessions are designed to be short, relaxed and fun, making them ideal for children of all ages.

Sessions take place at my cosy home studio in Ickwell, Bedfordshire, using a simple cream backdrop with minimal props. The focus of these sessions is entirely on your child and celebrating the exciting milestone ahead, creating timeless portraits that won't date as trends change.

I've decided to introduce these sessions because I know how quickly children grow and how difficult it can be to get a photograph of siblings together once they're attending different schools. Whether they're starting Nursery, Reception, Primary School, Secondary School or College, these sessions provide an opportunity to capture them together before another school year begins.

Another added bonus is that their uniforms are usually still looking their very best! No pen marks, grass stains, lost jumpers or scuffed shoes just yet!

And unlike traditional school photographs, parents are right there during the session. Not only does this help children feel relaxed and comfortable, but it also means we can capture genuine smiles and natural expressions rather than the forced "school photo smile" we all remember.

Plus, let's be honest... parents can do one final check that faces are clean, shirts are tucked in and ties are straight before we start! 🤣

Whether you're documenting a first day at Nursery or the start of their final school year, these sessions are a wonderful way to preserve this moment in time before they grow and change once again.
