Hi, I'm Phoebe!

I'm the face behind Phoebe Berridge Photography, and I've been capturing precious memories for families across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire since 2015.

Newborn photography has always held a special place in my heart. There's something so lovely about capturing those tiny details, sleepy expressions and little features that change far too quickly.

Over the years, I've developed a real love for soft, natural and timeless photography, which is exactly what inspired me to introduce my Pure & Simple Newborn Sessions.

I wanted to offer families something a little different from my traditional newborn photography. A beautifully simple approach where your baby is the focus, without lots of props, colours or elaborate setups.

My cosy home studio in Ickwell, Bedfordshire, is a calm and welcoming space where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the experience while I capture those precious early memories.

What Makes Pure & Simple Newborn Photography Different?

Less styling, more of those precious little details.

Sometimes, less really is more.

My Pure & Simple Newborn Sessions take a beautifully minimal approach to newborn photography, focusing on everything that makes your little one so special.

Unlike my traditional newborn sessions, which include a variety of colours, props and styled setups, Pure & Simple is all about keeping things clean, soft and timeless.

Using a simple white backdrop, delicate knitted fabrics and soft wraps, your baby remains the centre of attention throughout the session.

There's no need for elaborate props or colourful accessories. Instead, we'll focus on gentle posing, those tiny fingers and toes, peaceful sleepy moments and even those lovely wide-eyed expressions when your baby decides they'd rather stay awake!

Your final gallery will include a beautiful mixture of soft, natural colour photographs and classic black-and-white images, creating a timeless collection you'll love looking back on for years to come.

And of course, it's not just about your baby. Parent and sibling portraits are also included, giving you the opportunity to capture those precious first family memories together.

Whether you're drawn to the simplicity of Pure & Simple or prefer the variety of my traditional newborn sessions, both are designed to capture these fleeting early days in a way you'll treasure forever.

What to Expect From Your Pure & Simple Newborn Session

A relaxed, gentle experience, with your little one at the heart of everything.

Your Pure & Simple Newborn Session will take place in my cosy home studio in Ickwell, Bedfordshire, where everything will be prepared and ready for your arrival.

Sessions typically last around 1.5–2 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddles and settling your baby whenever needed. There's absolutely no rush, and we'll always work at your little one's pace.

Throughout your session, I'll use a beautiful white beanbag setup with soft fabrics, delicate textures and simple wraps to create a collection of natural, timeless photographs.

We'll capture a variety of gentle poses, from those peaceful, curled-up sleepy moments to tiny fingers, toes and all the little details you'll want to remember forever.

And please don't worry if your baby doesn't fancy sleeping! Some of the loveliest photographs come from those wide-eyed expressions, little stretches and moments when they're simply taking in the world around them.

Including the Whole Family

Your session isn't just about capturing your newest arrival. It's also about celebrating the people who love them most.

Parent and sibling portraits are included, giving us the opportunity to capture those first precious photographs together as a family.

I'll guide you through everything, so there's no need to worry about knowing how to pose or feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera. We'll keep things simple, relaxed and natural, in keeping with the beautiful Pure & Simple style.

A Little Time to Relax

I know those first few weeks with a newborn can feel like a whirlwind, so I want your photography experience to be one less thing to worry about.

You can settle into the studio, enjoy a little breather and let me take care of capturing those beautiful early memories.

All you need to do is bring your baby, yourselves and anything you'll need for feeding and changing. I'll take care of the photography and provide the simple white fabrics and wraps for your little one.

No pressure, no rushing, just beautiful memories of your baby's earliest days.

Step One: £49.00 is payable within 48 hours of booking to secure your slot.

Step Two: The remaining balance of £230.00 is due on your session date.

Your package includes 15 professionally edited, high-resolution digital images of your choice. Following your session, you'll receive a private online proof gallery containing a minimum of 20–30 images, available to view in both colour and black and white.

FAQ’s

When is the best time to book my Pure & Simple Newborn Session?

I always recommend booking your newborn photography session while you're still pregnant, ideally after your 20-week scan, to ensure I have availability around your due date.

Newborn sessions are ideally held when your baby is between 4–21 days old, as little ones are often sleepier and more comfortable being gently posed during these early weeks.

However, every baby is different, and beautiful photographs can still be captured if your little one is slightly older.

What happens if my baby arrives early or late?

Please don't worry! Babies rarely arrive exactly when expected.

When you book, I'll pencil in a provisional session date approximately seven days after your due date.

Once your little one arrives, simply let me know within 48 hours, and we'll arrange your confirmed session date around your baby's arrival.

What is the difference between Pure & Simple and Traditional Newborn Photography?

Both sessions offer the same relaxed, baby-led experience, but with two very different photographic styles.

Pure & Simple Newborn Photography focuses on beautiful white-on-white beanbag posing, soft textures, delicate wraps and minimal styling, allowing your baby to be the centre of attention.

My Traditional Newborn Photography sessions include a wider variety of colours, styled props, baskets and different setups.

The two styles are offered as separate experiences and cannot be combined within one session, so I recommend choosing the style you love most before booking.

Does my baby need to be asleep for the session?

Not at all!

Although sleepy newborns are often easier to gently pose, some of my favourite photographs are those lovely wide-eyed expressions, little stretches and natural moments.

Every session is completely baby-led, so we'll work around whatever your little one is happiest doing on the day. 

Can parents and siblings be included?

Absolutely! Parent and sibling portraits are included in your Pure & Simple Newborn Session.

These photographs will follow the same soft, minimal approach, with simple posing and neutral backgrounds to create a beautifully consistent gallery.

For siblings, we'll keep things relaxed and work around their age, confidence and willingness to join in. There's never any pressure! 

What should we wear for family photographs?

I recommend choosing soft, neutral colours such as white, cream, beige, oatmeal or light earthy tones.

Simple clothing without bold patterns, large logos or bright colours works beautifully with the clean, timeless style of these sessions.

There's no need for everyone to match perfectly. Coordinating colours and textures will help create a lovely, natural look.

I'll also be happy to offer a little outfit guidance before your session if you're unsure.

Can we include coloured wraps, baskets or other props?

Pure & Simple Newborn Sessions are designed specifically around white-on-white photography, delicate textures and minimal styling.

To maintain this beautiful, consistent look, coloured backdrops, baskets and elaborate props aren't included in these sessions.

If you'd prefer more variety, different colours or styled setups, my Traditional Newborn Photography Sessions would be the perfect alternative.

Where will my newborn session take place?

All Pure & Simple Newborn Sessions take place in my purpose-built home studio in Ickwell, Bedfordshire, conveniently located near Biggleswade and welcoming families from across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

The studio is warm, comfortable and fully prepared for your little one's arrival, giving you a relaxed space to enjoy those precious first photographs.

How many photographs will we receive?

Your Pure & Simple Newborn Package includes 15 professionally edited, high-resolution digital images of your choice.

Following your session, you'll receive access to a private online proof gallery where you can select your favourites.

Additional digital images and full-gallery upgrades will also be available should you wish to purchase more.

What if my baby needs feeding or changing?

That's absolutely fine and completely expected!

Your session will last approximately 1.5–2 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeds, nappy changes, cuddles and settling.

There's no pressure to rush. Your baby's comfort and wellbeing will always come first.
